The agentic economy - from capturing attention to being ready for action
More and more often it's an AI agent, not a human, that searches and chooses for us. In this world, brands that are machine-readable and ready for instant action win. See what it means for your profile.

For decades all of advertising fought over one thing: human attention. But McKinsey's analysts describe a new stage - the agentic economy, in which some buying decisions are made for us by AI assistants. An agent searches, compares and, increasingly, acts on our behalf. The rule of the game shifts from "capture attention" to "be ready for action".
What changes when a machine chooses
A human forgives chaos - they'll figure it out, click, keep looking. An AI agent won't. It needs data that is legible, unambiguous and well-organized:
- clear information about who you are and what you offer,
- a structure a machine can read without guessing,
- a path that leads straight from information to action.
The funnel gets shorter. Between "noticed" and "chosen" there's less and less room for friction.
Legibility that works both ways
The good news: what helps an AI agent also helps a human. An ElitesCards profile is structured and described with data a machine understands - while staying clear for the person who has just tapped the card. Saving a contact, a booking, a payment are all a single gesture away.
In the agentic economy it's not enough to be visible. You have to be ready - so that only one tap separates attention from action.
How to prepare today
You don't have to predict which AI assistants will win. It's enough to get the basics right: an orderly identity, data described so it can be read, and an action available on demand. A card that ties all of this together is ready for both the human and their digital agent.
